Snap Layouts are the grid that appears when you hover the maximize button—or press Win+Z. They beat manual resizing when you live in four apps at once.
Use Snap Layouts
- Hover the maximize icon or press Win+Z.
- Pick a zone layout.
- Click the next window into the remaining zones.
- Alt+Tab or taskbar group to restore the Snap Group later.
When Snap misbehaves
Some Electron apps ignore snapping. Resize manually or update the app. Multiple monitors each have their own layouts.
If something fails
If Win+Z does nothing, check Settings → System → Multitasking → Snap windows is enabled.
FAQ
Keyboard only?
