Use Clipboard History in Windows 11

Windows clipboard history turns Ctrl+C into a small shelf of recent copies. Once you pin a few snippets, email replies and serial numbers get less annoying.

Enable it

  1. Settings → System → Clipboard → Clipboard history On.
  2. Press Win + V to open the history panel.
  3. Pin items you reuse; clear the rest when sharing a PC.

Sync across devices

Optional clipboard sync needs a Microsoft account and is easy to leave off if you paste passwords. Prefer a password manager for secrets.

If something fails

History will not keep everything forever. Huge screenshots can push older entries out—pin the keepers.
