Health Secretary Matt Hancock has delivered a statement to the House of Commons about the vaccine announcement – saying that today marks “a new chapter in our fight against the virus”.

The UK has become the first country in the world to approve the Pfizer/BioNTech jab, paving the way for mass vaccination.

  5. It's a vaccine stored at – 80°c to preserve the mrna sequence when injected this codes and promotes covid dna to produce an immune system response in the body. In essence we just rely on our own immune system to protect us, not the vaccine.
