I have that Magnetic Charging Dock for the Apple Watch. Big selling point for it for me was the fact that it used Lightning to charge, so I just carried one cable and that to charge my watch when necessary. The MagSafe Duo Charger has that same benefit to a point, just that it can also charge an iPhone along with it.
When I got the Magnetic Charging Dock I was very skeptical of the material, figuring it would fray and eventually tear apart like other similar-feeling things I've had in the past, but it's held up really well. It also came with a 2m USB to Lightning Cable, which I'm pretty sure costs about $30 on its own?
I'll probably consider the MagSafe Duo Charger for its convenience, though probably not this year. Honestly there's a chance that it would just be a cool thing to have at the very most for me, since I don't really use wireless charging for my phone all too often, but I suppose we'll see what Apple does next year for it.

As someone who has a iPhone, watch and AirPods it is just a bit of a shame there isn’t a three way version of this.
Please note: This doesn't work on USB-A connection. I just learned it as I plug it in my power delivery 45W battery pack, not working. Went to Apple's support page and saw end connection should only be USB-C. Bummer! Returning it.
This should be at max twice the price of the normal mag safe it should be max 80 not 129

Honestly, the most genuine response to this type of product and it's price when mentioning not including the brick with the charging dock. A1 m'man.
Since we’re pretty much still in pandemic mode, I can’t foresee myself actually getting this, but post-pandemic I can totally see myself getting this. Especially for travel seeing that it’ll literally cut down on the cables I’d need.
MagSafe duo does not work with apple 29W USB C charger. Disappointing.

I like this but I prefer a 3-way charger like Mophie 3 in 1 for $95.99.
Wait…can this charge my stuff wirelessly without it being plugged in?!?! Like the AirPods case. That would almost make it worth it-but to just have to plug it in all the time makes zero sense at that price.

Honestly, the thing that bugs me more than the price, is the way this (and the other Apple Watch charger) looks Sooo under designed. Those hard edges looking like they were stamped out of a cookie cutter. If they put a little style on them it would raise the value, but….yeah looks lame regardless of function.

If this charger used a USBC cable I’d be all about it. It would be great to carry 1 USBC cable to charge all my devices and leave the lightening cable at home.

I have a $20 charger for both my watch and iPhone on my bed stand. Is it portable, no. But, carrying two small cable and a charging brick will not kill me. Besides, who can go anywhere anyway? We’re on lock down.
Start by complaining how over priced it is and end up using it forever. That’s a perfect Apple product for you.
Isn't the main point of new MagSafe that I can still pick the phone up while charging? That doesn't make sense with this accessory, unless the Watch part is flipped to the back, and then it's probably quite bulky?

Apple tricked the people by not including the charger in the iphone 12 and now it is pushing the trick very far. a 129$ for a foldable "slow" charger without a charging brick. What are they smoking?
